If you saw an Amazon package at your doorstep, would you take it inside and open it up, or would you try to eat it?
The former, of course! But what if we told you that edible Amazon packages do exist?
They did for this one lucky lady.
This woman, who goes by the name of Emily McGuire and works as a photographer, is a self-professed Amazon shopper. She is very proud of it.
The mom told CafeMom that she receives about two to three packages from the website per week on average. She refers to them as “lovely brown Amazon boxes.” She loves them so much, she actually gets giddy over them. Every single one.
Sometimes she even hides them from her husband Waylon (also known as Mac), who is well aware of her love for the mail.
Because he knew of his wife’s obsession, he went ahead and did what any great hubby would do. When Emily’s birthday arrived, he ordered a special cake for the occasion.
Can you guess what the cake looked like?
Yep, an Amazon package… An edible one that was from a bakery and customized just for Emily. It was perfect, and obviously a huge hit in the McGuire home.
The custom cake arrived looking just like one of her regular orders, and was created just for her. It even came with a personalized shipping label and Amazon Prime tape.
The address read: “Emily McGuire, 1234 Birthday Lane, Happy Birthday, 2U.” Above it was a postage and below it was a big scan code. On the side, there was a “Happy Birthday!” made to look like someone wrote it on the pretend box with pretend Sharpie marker. Needless to say, it was very on point.
The cake was made by the clearly talented team at Sweet Dreams Bakery, which is located in Dunn, North Carolina. They make tons of amazing cakes, and this one was an obvious highlight.
“It was delicious,” Emily continued to tell CafeMom.
If you are wondering what Emily’s response to the cake was, she shared that initially, it was just pure laughter. Rightfully so, it’s a pretty hilarious cake that they pretty much got down to the T.
She continued, “In that moment, I knew my husband gets me.”
While Emily is definitely seen by her husband, she is also seen by all of the women on the internet, who are freaking out over this perfect gift of a cake.
After the lucky woman shared photos of the cake online, it quickly got picked up across different Facebooks and went viral.
The post is currently up to 27k likes with 16k comments and 19k shares.
