Dressing up for Halloween is already enjoyable enough as it is, so who wouldn’t take the opportunity to dress up your fluffy companions for that one special day as well? Every year my cat shows great disapproval and my dog wags his tail while smiling in a confused manner, but I can’t help but pick out adorable costumes and take dozens of pictures of them. Here’s a list of 60 of my favorite Amazon Halloween pet costumes I’ve found over the years. I haven’t been able to try them all like I’ve hoped, but the collection ranges from simple [bandanas] to complex [witch costumes] for your cat or dog— I might just have to turn Halloween into a week-long event! They are all extremely adorable and tempting to put on your pet, but always remember, as a responsible pet owner, to never pressure your pet to do or wear something that makes them uncomfortable. Happy Halloween to you and your pets!

This Guitarist Costume For That Pooch With Flair

This guitarist costume is perfect for a small, fluffy dog with a lovable face that can swoon your friends and family. Simply slip this costume over the head and front paws of your pooch to turn him into a musical master ready to put on a show for everyone at your Halloween party. He’s sure to attract lots of attention and get lots of kisses and pets from the crowd— but I’m sure he’ll be very okay with that.
Turn Your Puppy Into A Loyal Steed With This Mounted Cowboy Costume

Giddy Up! Use this Cowboy Costume to place on top of your dog to make it look like he has a cowboy riding him. Not only is it extremely funny but it’s a light enough costume to not bother many small or medium sized dogs. I put this on my little dog last year and he seemed to have no issues with it. My whole family really got a kick out of it!
This Spoopy Bandana For The Dog Who Celebrates In Simplicity

I get it— some dogs really just don’t do well with costumes despite their usually wonderful temperament. Luckily, this is where bandanas come in. When I was younger, we would constantly put bandanas on my Weimaraner because he would just shake out of every single costume we introduced him to. It was a bummer but luckily he fared with the bandanas just fine. This set comes with three styles of bandanas: jack-o-lantern, trick or treat, or candy corn themed.
An Ironic Spider Costume For That Cat That Chases Spiders

Cats are not easy to get into costumes, but if you are one of those lucky owners, this spider costume is an adorable option. Spooky enough for Halloween but cute enough to make your kitty the center of attention, this costume is sure to be a hit. It is relatively light and easy to strap around your cat and is definitely a great choice for a high maintenance cat.
A Jack-O’-Lantern Sweater For A Chilly Halloween Night

If you go trick or treating with your dog, this is an ideal choice. I got this sweater for my dog one Halloween as a last minute pick and I didn’t regret it at all. It was super cold that halloween night and my dog appreciated the extra warmth for his extended Halloween walk. He surely didn’t complain with all the extra attention from the neighbors.
These Bat Wings For Your Black Cat

Black cats sometimes have a slightly “batty” face at times, so why not take advantage of that and buy some bat wings this Halloween? This costume is pretty simple but goes a long way as it looks extremely cute on cats. It looks good on every cat, but definitely looks best on cats with darker fur. Best part is how cheap this costume is!
A Shark Costume For a Daschund

While not the scariest shark costume, I think that this shark costume will take a bite out of the hearts of those who see your doggy. This costume is long so it fits best on dogs with longer shaped bodies just like dachshunds. I don’t own a dachshund but you bet this is the first costume I’m buying when I get one!
A Sorcerer’s Cloak and Hat For A Magical Dog

This sorcerer’s costume is a great option for those dogs that have issues slipping into the tighter costumes. Simply wrap the cloak around your dog and secure the hat on his head! The costume is super breathable and easy to wear so your dog shouldn’t be uncomfortable wearing it. If your dog has issues with the hat, you can remove it and the cloak alone will still look adorable.
A Joker Costume For The Dog Who Wants To Be A Villain (But Just For One Night)

We know your dog is never actually the villain but for Halloween he can act like he is with this Joker costume. This pull-over shirt is easy for your dog to wear and looks like the Joker’s shirt. If you’re lucky and have two dogs, I would highly recommend dressing up your other dog as Batman!
A Bee Costume That Will Cause A Lot Of Buzz

If you have a dog that buzzes around the house to bug everyone in the house, get your dog this bumble bee costume. Now he will be able to be his hyper-active self while roleplaying as a bee this Halloween. This costume is best for those dogs who have a really tolerant personality since it basically covers the whole body so make sure to test the temperament of your dog.
A Vampire Costume For All Those Devious Felines Out There

We have all experienced the judgemental stare from our cats and this vampire costume really fits that mood. I put this costume on my cat one Halloween and when he went on top of the fridge and looked down at me, it made for exceptional pictures. I definitely recommend this costume for those people who own a cat who gives gargoyle stares.
This Sharp Shooter Costume For The Cat Who’s Always Ready To Duel

When my cat wore this cowboy/sharp shooter costume five years ago my whole family cracked up and almost cried while laughing. It really does make your cat look like a walking mini cowboy from the front. Although he didn’t keep this costume on for too long, the pictures I got from the experience were priceless and the memories even more so.
A Sailor Costume For Your Dapper Little Kitty

This is a really cute sailor costume for your cats that sport that formal, serious and almost regal look. The hat might be a tad more difficult to keep on your cat’s head, but the neck piece is very unobtrusive and shouldn’t bother your cat at all. This costume is under ten dollars which is a steal in my book.
This UPS Delivery Costume For Your Retriever

Everyone’s used to having their dogs retrieve their balls and toys for you, but how great would it be if they could bring you your mail and packages? Sadly, this is an unlikely reality but we can all pretend can’t we? At least on Halloween your golden retriever can be the greatest retriever of them all in this UPS Costume.
A Pirate Costume For Those Cats Ready for Adventure

If your kitty is as much of a little thief as mine is, dress them up in a pirate costume like this one so they channel their inner pirate, ready to steal all the treats and toys on the high sea! I saw this costume in a reddit video that went viral and I couldn’t help but buy it. My cat was extremely confused but he put up with it eventually.
A Lion Mane To Channel Your Cat’s Ancestors

Some cats’ personalities are larger than their bodies and they deserve to look as regal as they feel. Give your cat a lion mane this Halloween so they can feel like the king of the forest. This is sure to make your cat feel like it’s most fierce self. I think this looks best on cats that are orange and white calico cats. I wish my cat was this color so I could buy this costume!
A Harry Potter Pooch Costume That Is Avadakadorable

If you’re a fan of the Harry Potter series, you will definitely get a kick out of this Harry Potter costume. This comes with a cloak and fake glasses that mimic Harry Potter’s. Obviously you can’t make a fake scar on your puppy, but the costume looks so good that nobody should have a problem telling what it is. If you have two other dogs, I suggest dressing them up as Hermione and Ron.
A Wonder Woman Costume For A Truly Wonderful Puppy

For all those dogs with superhero personalities, this one’s for you. I love dressing my dogs up in costumes that emulate their personalities, and I think this Wonder Woman costume really summarizes my dog’s personality. At the end of the day, I think my pets is my superheros, and I’m happy to dress them up as such.
A Lion Mane For Those Subversive Dogs

Who said you can only dress up your cats with Lion manes? Your dog can look just as regal in this lion mane, despite their lack of feline in their DNA. I think it’s extra adorable if you dress both your cat and dog in these costumes. Plus, it saves you some time and money rather than thinking of two different costumes.
Festive Collars For Low Maintenance Dogs

Not every dog loves an elaborate costume, and if your dog doesn’t like bandanas, then this festive collar might be your second best bet. Choose from a variety of different colors and designs that your doggy is sure to love. All are guaranteed to make your puppy look adorable as possible this Halloween without breaking the bank or struggling to get your dog into it.
A Cookie Monster Costume For That Dog Who Is Extra Food-Motivated

Does your dog try to steal every single food you hold or put on your table? Dress him in a cookie monster costume that emulates his obsessive need for treats all the time. This costume was a crowd-pleaser for everybody who came to my Halloween party last year. I think my dog also kind of liked it as well. He even used it as a toy after Halloween for some reason.
This Snow White Costume For Your Little Princess Puppy

Let’s be real, we all spoil our dogs like little princes and princesses, so why beat around the bush? This Snow White Costume is perfect for a puppy who is constantly pampered with love and all the treats they could ever want. It’s a cute and flexible costume for most dogs— just don’t feed your dog any poison apples like Snow White!
A Pumpkin Hat and Cloak For Your Little Pumpkin

This pumpkin costume is really good for the cat that doesn’t like something wrapped around its waist. Both the hat and cloak are very soft and easy to place on your cat’s head and wrap around your cat’s neck. It’s a simple, yet cute, costume for those who aren’t looking for a particularly flashy costume this Halloween Season.
A Chucky Costume For Horror Film Fans

If you want to go more traditional this Halloween, you can choose this Chucky costume for your dog so they can be the creepy Chucky doll from all the “Child’s Play” movies. I know that the movie and doll are scary to some people, but don’t worry, your dog’s cuteness will shine through the costume regardless of how creepy the original Chucky doll is.
A Devil Costume For Your Mischievous Cat

Whenever my cat knocks over something precious of mine for no good reason, I jokingly call him the devil. Two Halloweens ago, I got fed up with my cat’s shenanigans and bought him this devil costume. Served him right, in my opinion. But I can’t help how utterly adorable he was in this costume— I almost forgave him for all his wrongdoings. Cats really have a way of tugging at your heartstrings.
An Angel Costume For That Extra Good Boy

Did your dog behave like an extra well this year and be the loyal companion you hoped they would be? Treat them with this angel costume to remind them how highly you think of them and show them how much of a good boy they actually are. I love how the halo and wings look so seamless on any dog breed.
These Halloween Neckties For The Fancy Pup

Who said Halloween costumes had to be that flashy to be awesome? This set of puppy neckties come in a variety of extremely creative Halloween designs that allow you to switch it up each year for under $10. This is always a great option for when you are running late on Halloween chores and didn’t get your pet a more elaborate costume in time. My dog has gotten a lot of compliments every time he wears them.
An Unusual Coffee Cup Costume For A Silly Dog

This Starbucks coffee costume is quite an oddball, but sometimes that one oddball pet really deserves an oddball costume. I think your dog will be the talk of the neighborhood when they see a straw sticking out of the top of your dog’s head. This costume is quite elaborate though, so make sure you have a really calm and well tempered dog before buying.
A Halloween-Themed Hoodie For Pets That Don’t Want A Full Costume

Perfect for cats and dogs, this hoodie is great for those pets who want to dress for the Halloween season but don’t want to roleplay as a specific character. I love how well made this hoodie is and it stays extremely soft despite how many times I put it in the washing machine. It’s not strictly a costume, your pet can wear it all October long.
A Holy Hound Dog Costume

Some people say their pet is god-sent and this pope costume could not be more perfect for those owners who feel this way. The costume is extremely intricate and well made which explains why it’s got hundreds of amazing reviews. I got this for my mom’s dog one year, and she absolutely loved it. My grandparents also had a really good time treating her dog like he was the pope.
A Sherlock Hound Costume For A Dog With A Good Nose

This costume is probably one of the most adorable Halloween dog costumes I have ever seen in my entire life! I mean, how could your dog not look adorable dressing up in a Sherlock Holmes costume? My dog may not have the brains to be a great detective but you bet I am buying this costume for him regardless. This costume fits best on small dogs and looks great on dachshunds or chihuahuas.
Who You Gonna Call?— Your Dog In This Adorable Ghostbusters’ Costume

I watch Ghostbusters every single Halloween because of how much I enjoy this movie. Therefore, it was inevitable that I would buy this Ghostbusters costume for my dog one year. This costume’s backpack wasn’t my dog’s favorite thing to wear in his lifetime, but I enjoyed taking pictures so much that it was completely worth the couple of pictures I snapped before I relented and put him in a more comfortable costume.
An Itachi Costume For Naruto Fans

This is hands down my absolute favorite costume I have ever put on my dog. If you are a fan of the Naruto anime series like I am, I do not understand how you will pass up this Itachi costume. If you ever wanted to dress up your dog as an Akatsuki member, your dreams can finally be fulfilled. A lot of my family members didn’t understand the costume but all my friends could not get enough pictures of my dog cosplaying. It’s such a great costume, I wish you could bring dogs to conventions!
You Can Be Beauty And Your Pet Can Wear The Beast Costume

This costume is one of the more expensive costumes I’ve seen but I can assure you that it’s worth every single penny. I am constantly surprised with how many details they included with this Beast costume. If you have a dog with a brown coat, this costume will complement them really well. On a side note, the costume is made of a really sturdy material and owners with rowdy dogs do not need to worry much about it staying together.
Gorgeous Butterfly Wings For An Elegant Cat

These butterfly wings come in two beautiful orange and pink colors. Both look extremely pretty on cats— as if your kitty wasn’t elegant enough. I love how light this strap-on costume is. Every time I put it on my cat, he barely seems to notice it. Needless to say, I would recommend this to all cat owners, especially since cats can be extremely sensitive to what you make them wear.
A Hotdog Costume For A “Hotdog” Dog

People jokingly call dachshunds “hotdog dogs” and I feel like that couldn’t be more accurate with their noodly bodies. Every dachshund needs to dress up in a hotdog costume at least once in my honest opinion. I feel like you’re just wasting a great and hilarious opportunity if you don’t try it.
This Jester Costume For The Dog Who Always Makes You Laugh

Our dogs tend to bring smiles to our faces every day, but this jester costume is specifically for those dogs who amuse and make us laugh every single day. My grandmother owns a dog who brings this much joy in her life, so I suggested this Halloween costume for her poodle. She absolutely loved the idea and immediately bought it and was not disappointed with her purchase.
This Stitch Pajama Suit That Is Extremely Fluffy

This is another great outfit for those who want to walk their dogs on a cold Halloween night. If you’re a fan of the Lilo and Stitch movie, you’ll enjoy how cute and accurate this Stitch costume looks, but be even more impressed with how much warmth this hoodie provides for your shivering pooch on Halloween night.
A Custom Sports Jersey For Your Cat Or Dog

If you want something more customizable for your pet this Halloween Season, try picking something like this! This jersey allows owners to send in their pet’s name so that the costume will have your buddy’s own name printed on it when it comes in the mail. This costume is sure to let your dog or cat know that they’ll never be the ones left on the bench!
A Tuxedo For A Black Tie Event Halloween

I was attending a pretty elaborate Halloween party one year that was hosted by some rich friends who told me I was allowed to bring my dog as well! I didn’t want him to feel left out at the costume party so I dressed him up in this fancy little tuxedo and he was quite the talk of the night. I love that this tuxedo comes in a variety of different colors and designs so that you can pick the style that fits your dog best.
This Hilarious Lobster Suit

Out of all the costumes from this list, this one is the funniest to look at from the back. I saw this on my best friend’s little pug one Halloween and I couldn’t stop laughing every time she scurried across the living room. I’m not sure what would inspire you to dress your dog up as a lobster but this lobster costume will surely bring laughs all night long. This costume also fits on cats, which is a nice bonus.
A Pair Of Bat Wings With A Cool Twist

Okay, I understand we have all probably tried the cat costumes with wings in the past, but this is a new upgrade to a classic cat costume. These bat wings actually glow in the dark as opposed to other normal ones! This is an insanely cool upgrade to your old cat costumes and how can you disagree for only $15?!
These Beanie Baby Tags For An Adorable Throwback

If you were like me and had a ton of Beanie Baby stuffed animals growing up, you are sure to like these Beanie Baby-inspired tags for your cat and dogs this Halloween. They are only $7 each so you can easily buy a whole set for each of your dogs. If you have a particularly tolerant cat, this is an utterly adorable costume choice. This is a simple costume that requires no fuss for you or your fuzzy companion— it should cause no particular discomfort issues for your pets as well, so it can be an ideal pick for particularly sensitive pets.
An Ewok Costume For Avid Star Wars Fans

If you’re planning on dressing up as somebody from “Star Wars” this year, this Ewok costume is a cute option for your puppy’s costume and it will complement your costume beautifully. One year I dressed up as Princess Leia when my dog was still a puppy. I bought him the costume that same year and I still remember how cute his little face looked poking out of the costume. Needless to say, we had a really fun Halloween and all my friends who were Star Wars friends absolutely loved the choice.
A Doctor Costume For Dr. Snuggles

I heard somewhere that cat’s purring provides healing properties for humans; if there is any truth to that myth I’ve heard then I am completely shameless when I get the chance to dress up my kitty in this doctor’s costume one Halloween. This costume is relatively soft and flowy and shouldn’t cause any discomfort for your little guy.
A Colorful Caterpillar Costume For Medium Sized Dogs

If you enjoy dressing up your pets in colorful attire, I found this caterpillar costume that just might fit the bill perfectly. The green, yellow, blue and red on the costume is very vibrant and doesn’t fade with multiple washes. My dog actually really loves how warm this costume is and doesn’t even mind wearing it outside of Halloween. It’s a great pet clothing piece all around.
An Octopus Pullover For Sea Creature Roleplay

This octopus costume is one of the most adorable sea creature costumes that I’ve seen for pets. I love the baby blue color and the soft fleece it is made of. The headpiece is a little bulky, so it’s best on dogs who aren’t too small. I one time tried this costume on my friend’s tiny dog and the headpiece would frequently tip over. It fit extremely well on her boyfriend’s dog though, so he ended up keeping it.
This Superman Cape For A Super Dog

Superman’s only weakness is kryptonite and my dog’s only weakness is the treats I spoil him with weekly. When he comes up to me in this Superman cape begging for treats, I have no choice but to give him whatever he wants. How could I say no to this cute Superman costume? It’s nearly impossible; it’s no wonder he gets away with everything he does.
A Dorothy Costume That Flips Wizard Of Oz Roles

Dorothy always had her little dog Toto as her companion but now this Dorothy costume gives your dog the chance to be Dorothy herself. I think this costume is an extremely clever and creative design and the little red slipper booties are the cherry on top of the sundae. I think most small dogs would look absolutely perfect in this costume.
A R2-D2 Costume For The Extreme Star Wars Fans

This is another great costume for all the Star Wars fans out there. Usually your dog is the perfect animal companion but now they can be the perfect robot companion in this R2-D2 costume. Again, costumes like these look best when you are dressing up from the same franchise so make sure you get your Star Wars costume ready before Halloween so you don’t leave your pooch alone in his adorable costume.
A Strawberry Hoodie For Your Kitty

Who said your pet had to dress up as another creature? Halloween is a holiday for you to dress up as anything you like, so why not let your kitty dress up in this strawberry costume. Your cat will love how soft this hoodie is and the pinkish red color will look wonderful on many white or grey cats. This costume is for all those cats who really are sweet as strawberries!
A Pepper Shaker Puppy Costume

My cousin had a dog named Pepper and one Halloween I bought this pepper costume for her dog because I thought it would make her laugh. She really enjoyed taking pictures of her dog in the costume and I thought it would be a great idea to buy the salt version of the costume so our dogs could match on their Halloween walk. People walking past us thought they were both extremely cute!
A Dinosaur Hoodie For A Boisterous Puppy

This is a comical costume for the dog who stampedes across the house like a little dinosaur. The purple dinosaur costume is a well made fleece-like hoodie that covers the dog from head to toe. The fabric is easy to squeeze your dog into but won’t easily rip with extended use. Honestly you could probably have your dog wear this costume year round as an extra sweater if they like it.
A Simple Yet Festive Hat and Collar

Not strictly a costume, but if your cat looks best in appropriately themed Halloween gear, this hat and collar provides a perfect amount of Halloween flair for your kitty this October. The orange, jack-o-lantern design on the outfit is universally flattering and can be easily fitted on most dogs and cats. Coming in at under $10, it’s a versatile Halloween outfit that can fit any occasion.
This Care Bear} Slip-On

Just like the Beanie Baby Outfit, this Care Bear Costume is a throwback for those who owned a bunch of Care Bears back in the day. Your fluffy friend will emulate the once treasured stuffed animals you would keep all over your bed to comfort you when you were a child. No offense to the Care Bears, but I think our dogs provide way more comfort than those stuffed bears ever could.
A Go Get ‘Em Tiger Outfit

This tiger outfit is for all the “go-getter” dogs out there who mean business. For all the dogs who want to feel extra bold this holiday season, do them a favor and slip them into this fierce yet cute costume. Trust me, you won’t regret it when he roars— I mean barks.
A Catdog Costume For The Pet Who Can’t Decide

Remember that odd cartoon show called Catdog? Yes, I mean the cartoon with the creature that had both a comedic dog and cat head. Some people found the show odd, but I always found it quite humorous and that’s exactly how I feel about this Catdog costume, providing the same exact entertainment that the show once did for me.
A Jack-O’-Lantern Sweater With A Turtle Neck

Your puppy will love how much this jack-o-lantern sweater keeps his neck and midriff stylish and warm. Made out of extremely elastic knitwear, it is a breeze to put over your dog and does not tear easily. I definitely advise you to only hand wash this piece of clothing, as machine washing might be too rough on it.
A Woody Costume For Toy Story Lovers

I wish I could express to my dog how much “he has a friend in me”. All jokes aside, this Woody costume is extremely intricate and I wish many costumes were made as well as this one. I absolutely love how the details really mimic Woody from Toy Story. Not going to lie, I almost teared up with happiness when I saw this on my dog.
This Adorable Bunny Suit For Tiny Dogs

If you have one of those miniature toy dogs, you absolutely must buy this bunny costume for them because it really does the most work on petite dogs. People will absolutely fawn over your tiny puppy and his rabbit ears that flop over his face all Halloween night. Really, who would not lose their mind seeing a miniature dog in this hoodie?
