Sometimes on the Internet, the key to going viral is about making people go…”Wait, what???”
That’s exactly what happened to Twitter user @intheinfantry this past weekend when they posted the following picture, accompanied by a caption that can only be described as an understatement:
I’m going to need a little more on the backstory here please. pic.twitter.com/2K7vCyoUEA

And of course Twitter had to weigh in.
This tweet really seemed to bring out the Twitter comedians…
Everyone kept saying our critical infrastructure was at risk to cyber attacks…we just thought we had more time…

Including the inevitable Skynet joke, obvz…

Some were obscure…
They couldn’t fit blockchain and machine learning into the explanation? Pathetic.
— Eric Johnson (@AmShipEric) September 3, 2017
Others were inspired to come up with other events you could blame on a cyberattack…
Dear Mrs. Smith,
My homework is currently unavailable due to a recent cyberattack. We apologize for the inconvenience.

At the time of this writing, whether or not the chicken wings and cheesy crust have made it past the cyber blockade is still unknown.
May you return to us soon, delicious savory treats, and godspeed.
We truly live in the dumbest cyberpunk dystopia
